Has your quartz lost its shine?

Quartz was sold to you as ‘forever finish.’ Indestructible, no maintenance, no upkeep. The reality is daily life leaves marks — and we refinish quartz countertops in Huntington Beach, CA every day to restore the original look.

Scratches

From cutting boards, sliding pans, and abrasive cleaners.

Etches

From acidic foods — citrus, vinegar, wine, coffee.

Surface Dulling

The original factory shine fades from everyday use.

Heat Hazing

Yellowing or cloudiness where hot pans touched the surface.

Wear Zones

High-use areas like sink runs and prep spaces look tired.

None of this is permanent. With the right tools and the right process, your quartz can look close to new again — without replacing the counter.

Why our quartz refinishing is different

Spot-refinishing quartz in the field looks tempting, but it’s risky. Engineered quartz patterns are highly uniform, and the original factory polish was created under conditions you can’t replicate on a single 4-inch patch.

We refinish the entire counter so the result is a consistent, even finish across the whole surface — close to the original factory finish, with no patched spots that catch your eye.

The specialized equipment that makes it possible

Quartz isn’t granite — it needs different tools, different abrasives, and a different sealer.

Planetary refinishing machine

Built specifically for quartz — not the same tool used on granite or marble.

Quartz-specific abrasives

Engineered to duplicate the manufacturer’s original finish as closely as possible.

Nano sealer for hard surfaces

Keeps your counter cleaner longer by preventing residue and buildup.

Every major quartz brand. Caesarstone, Silestone, Cambria, MSI Q Quartz, LG Viatera, Hanstone, Vicostone, Q Premium — the brand isn’t the issue.

See the transformation

Real before-and-after quartz refinishing work from homes like yours. The dullness you’ve been told to live with is more recoverable than you think.

Honest pricing — and a smarter way to think about it

Quartz refinishing pricing is project-specific — it depends on your counter size, surface condition, and the scope of work needed. A small bathroom vanity is one type of job; a full kitchen counter is another. We don’t quote a flat rate because every counter is different.

What stays consistent: refinishing requires specialized equipment, materials, and time that aren’t compatible with a ‘cheap quick fix.’ Most kitchens run higher than $800. Send us photos with a rough idea of square footage and we’ll give you a specific quote — not a guess.

A smarter way to think about it

If you have a kitchen counter and a couple of bathroom vanities, bundling them as one project keeps the overall economics in your favor. The same is true if you have other stone work in your home that needs attention:

  • Granite counters that could use polishing
  • Marble that needs sealing or AntiEtch®
  • Travertine floors that have lost their shine
  • A shower that needs refinishing

Combining services in one project changes the math. The trip cost spreads across multiple surfaces. The per-service value goes up. And you end the day with a whole home that looks the way you want it to.

Frequently asked questions

Honest answers to the questions we hear most.

Can quartz really be refinished? I thought it had to be replaced.
It’s the most common thing we hear. Many quartz refinishing attempts fail because they use the wrong equipment, the wrong abrasives, or try to spot-refinish instead of treating the entire counter. With the right process — planetary refinishing machine, quartz-specific abrasives, and full-counter treatment — we restore quartz surfaces that other shops told you to replace.
Will the refinished surface look like new?
We refinish the entire counter so there are no patched spots — the result is a consistent, even finish across the whole surface, close to the original factory look. It won’t be a perfect match to the original factory finish (no field process can be), but the difference between “close to factory” and “replaced” is the difference between hundreds of dollars and thousands.
How long does refinishing take?
Most quartz refinishing jobs run a half-day to a full day, depending on counter size and condition. We give you a specific timeline when we quote your project. The counter is unusable during the work but back in service the same day.
What if the damage is too deep to refinish?
We’ll tell you. Part of our honest assessment process is being straightforward about what we can and can’t do. If the surface damage runs too deep, if there’s a structural issue, or if replacement makes more sense than refinishing, we’ll say so. You won’t owe us anything for an honest assessment.
Do you work with my brand of quartz?
Almost certainly yes. We’ve refinished every major quartz brand: Caesarstone, Silestone, Cambria, MSI Q Quartz, LG Viatera, Hanstone, Vicostone, Q Premium, and more. The brand affects color-matching for any chip work, but the overall refinishing technique works the same way — quartz is quartz when it comes to the process.
How much does refinishing cost?
Pricing depends on counter size and condition — a small bathroom vanity is one job, a full kitchen counter is another. Most kitchens run higher than $800. We can’t quote without seeing photos and knowing the surface area. For smaller jobs or better per-service economics, ask us about bundling with other stone work in your home (granite polishing, marble sealing, travertine cleaning) so the trip cost spreads across multiple surfaces.
